Crashing and Burning

That has been the phrase I've thought of a few times today. In all reality we are doing way better than we could be but we do have our moments. Like going to church this morning... probably not the smartest of decisions on our part. We had a plan for who would go walk around with Micah during church or Sunday School but failed to think about who was in charge of looking out for all the other kids.

From now on though if someone has Micah and we are together the other one has everyone else. Joshua ended up lost in the shuffle this morning. In reality though this was the first time he seemed distraught. He has done amazingly well considering Micah seems threatened by him and wants whatever Josh has and doesn't want to play with him like Joshua had envisioned YET.

Joshua does like for us to tell him stories of when he first came home. He treated Isaac the same way only times 100!!! He thinks it's funny and I think it helps him know it won't last forever. As a matter of fact Josh and Isaac were getting a bath tonight and Micah ended up in there (he already had his jammies on). The boys started laughing and splashing each other. We let it happen even though it was a mess and total chaos BUT they were all 3 playing together happily.

So all in all I don't think we are crashing and burning but I do feel like we are one step away. We are trying to be wise about the choices we make. All the other kids are still recovering from being away too and just want some time at home. Isaac is consistently getting up around 4a.m. Curse you jet lag!!! Which means I am also getting up around 4a.m. and trying to get back to sleep before others start rolling out of bed. Out of all my kids that have traveled Isaac is the only one that has even been affected by jet lag!

This week we have 5 doctor appointments and Joshua's ear surgery is on Friday. It is a major blessing that people are bringing us meal this week. It'll help SO much!

I am a bit nervous about finding out what needs to be done with Micah's leg. Honestly it makes me queezy to the stomach to think about but I know God will give strength and wisdom as needed. God is good and has certainly blessed us with an amazing child. He walked around church all morning shaking everyone's hand and just chattering away to them. I love hearing he, Joy, and Yi talking in Chinese. It's given Joy something she can be good at and it is wonderful. We know English will come quickly to him and are trying to remember to enjoy the journey getting there. He's awesome at repeating everything we say so it'll happen fast!

Isaac is learning how to play Chinese chess. That is the picture of he and Joshua. He's trying to teach Josh to play too :)

This is a yummy Mexican meal our friends provided us with. Micah like Mexican food... whoo hoo!! Obviously Faith was being difficult in this picture...
Micah's favorite toy... washing his hands in the sink!
