We were at the orphanage today again and Willette and I got to share with some teachers and parents at the main orphanage. We feel like He used us to encourage them. I really admire the parents that have special needs children in China. It is not a cultural norm nor is it accepted. They asked 45 minutes of questions and you could see the desperation in their faces. It was such an answer to prayer.
Willette taught the class today and did wonderfully. The kids had a great time. One of the kids said to me later, “Are we going to have class again today?”
THEN we met with Bruce and Sophie again for dinner AND a 3 Chinese Christians went with us that we have met this week. They shared Christ with Bruce and Sophie AND 2 of them actually go to school with them. It sounds like Bruce and Sophie will go to one of their small groups. They traveled together back to their school so I’m sure they will have wonderful conversation. Our Chinese Christian friend shared in Chinese all during dinner!! Both Bruce and Sophie are asking questions and curious! Please, please continue to pray!!!! Thanks so much!
Elizabeth, Joy, 2 new friends, and I are going to a Yan Zhou. It is a touristy area with a market AND we get to ride a scooter!! (Don’t worry mom, it’s totally safe!) He, he! Willette is going to go to the orphanage to help the teacher. I struggled and prayed about what to do and feel like Joy and I need some down time. Then we’ll meet with Bruce, Sophie, and Joy’s foster family for the last time tomorrow night. God is incredible and the whole trip feels totally surreal to see everything He is doing and has done!
