Funny adoption related conversation in a video!
Believe it or not we have been asked ALL of these questions at one time or another. Granted the conversatios were NOT in the creepy computerized voices NOR have I EVER said, "I've seen your husband and maybe you shouldn't have biological children." in answer to the question, "Are you worried your new child won't be cute?"
BUT it is amazing the things people ask and sometimes it's just fun to make fun of ignorance. There ya have it! I breath deeply and pray for grace when asked one of these questions.
An update on us:
We are doing excellent. Micah is doing amazing. Joshua is doing amazing. Josh has his new hearing aides. The others were loaners. His ear is healed and he's liking Tai Kwon Dao. We can really see that it'll help his balance, focus, confidence, and spacial awareness.
Grace is starting the process to have braces. She has a crossbite... ugh. Our 3 preteen girls are driving me crazy BUT the boys are doing great. Do you ever get tired of preteen drama... I do. At this point in my life I'd rather talk about shooting squirrels, BB guns, getting attacked by sharks, Lego's... really anything other than drama.
Seriously though... Micah is SO laid back and fun! Not in the sit around and do nothing sort of way but in the sleep whenever we need him to, wherever we need him to kinda way. He sleeps in a toddler bed in our room and when he wakes up in the morning he crawls in bed with us and lays there with his stuffed monkey rubbing his nose with it's leg and sucking his fingers. He thinks everything is funny! In the see life as an adventure type of way... you know dr. visits, baseball games, tennis matches, church events, crazy family life, etc. When he's in his stroller... because when out and about it's just best to contain him... he waves and says hello to everyone.
He's just a fun kid! Which makes life more fun. Can't imagine life without him! He's a joy.
Pictures will follow I'm sure at some point and I'm hoping summer coming will help me keep up with the ol' blog a bit better. We are all looking forward to some R&R this summer... this kids do have their lists of what they need to do education wise this summer but it'll be a breeze compared to the way we have been at it recently!
We did get some family photos last week so I will post those next week, Lord willing. I just looked on my camera for some new snapshots I could have taken last week.... none on there, oops!
Last week we had a break from dr. visits but this week we are at it again. I giggle when I hear people talk about only have 1 or 2 days at home in a week. I think it's a blessing when we have a full day at home and I don't even count times we go somewhere when Clayton is home. It's funny how our minds adjust to life isn't it?! Imagine... I used to be a homebody. Somewhere deep down I'm sure I am. Last week we had 2 whole days (afternoons anyway) of NOTHING... you know what I did... NOT clean my disgusting bathrooms. I turned on NetFlix and watched Monk (Oh yes I did!!!) It was fun too! I could get used to Micah's long naps when we are at home....
